XtractTeam is a scientific research group working at the Faculty of Technology Novi Sad, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. The team gathers several scientists from the Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering.
XtractTeam works in the field of green technologies with a focus on innovative extraction technologies (supercritical carbon dioxide and subcritical water extraction, ultrasound-assisted and microwave-assisted extraction) and powder producing technologies (spray drying and freeze-drying).
Our research is focused on medicinal plants, valorization of agricultural, food, and pharmaceutical waste and by-products, and microalgae. Additionally, XtractTeam conducts biochemical, pharmacological, and chemical investigations of natural products and explores the possibilities of their enrichment to obtain products with improved health benefits.
